Michael Lomeka
We are thrilled to introduce you to Michael Lomeka! Most recently Michael was a lead dancer in the Celine Dion’s “A New Day” production. He is also a graduate of The Julliard School with a BA in Fine Arts. He is currently in negotiations with a great show on the strip, and since he is known as the “one who gets every show he auditions for”, we are sure he will be able to add this to his resume as well. Michael’s dance experience and teaching experience is vast and all encompassing.Mr. Lomeka has danced on Broadway in several shows including but not limited to The King and I and A Christmas Carol. One of Michael’s greatest pleasures was having the opportunity to work with the great Mikhail Baryshnikov in his company, The White Oak Dance Project. He has worked for NBC and Warner Brothers and has many years of regional theater experience as well. Having taught since he was a teenager, he enjoys the artistic side of teaching and loves to share his knowledge with the next generation of dancers, hoping to have as strong an influence on their training as his teachers had on him.
Michael Lomeka’s talent does not end there. He also can tumble, break dance, harness fly, juggle, rollerblade, and is proficient in singing as well. With a strong understanding that ballet is the base for all types of dance, his jazz and contemporary classes will prove to be both challenging and exciting to all of our intermediate and advanced students. Michael looks forward to sharing his choreography talents as well, having done much contemporary choreography on the competition circuit. Welcome Michael!
